About True Tasmania Cycling Tours, Tasmania

True Tasmania are committed to providing quality, value for money and unforgettable bike tour experiences in Tasmania for all customers.

Our principle rider Dean Wilson, has enjoyed a successful 30 year competitive cycling career. Dean Wilson rode his first bike race as an eleven-year old.

He was a successful Tasmanian A grade road cyclist and a medalist at national level.

In 1983 Dean rode for the Italian amateur cycling team Stella Artois, achieving several top ten placings in European road races. Dean spent 1989 based in France, riding for the Swiss amateur team Mazza.

Although he no longer races, his passion for cycling hasn’t diminished. He trains regularly with a group of local riders on the roads near his home in North West Tasmania.

In July 2006 Dean followed the Tour de France with a cycling group - the experience inspired him to bring cycle touring to Tasmania.

With their extensive local knowledge and an understanding of what riders expect from a bike tour holiday, Dean and Tanya Wilson are excited to be able to introduce guests to a true Tasmanian cycling experience.
